kill the drama.

today. so it was my first day of classes at columbia. it took me 40 minutes to get my damn contacts on in the morning. bad compared to last night wen i did it in 15, but awesome compared to the 2 hours last time when my MOM helped me lol. i took the train to columbia and got onto the line to orientation. lots and lots of asians. i spoke to random people and made friends with a few ppl in my class.

first class, study skills. there were like 17 kids in my class, and this one guy jacob who reminded me ever so slightly of napoleon dynamite was annoying cuz he was like little mr brainiac. i had a 2 1/2 hour break between classes, so i hung out with rhia, talked on the phone with aisha. roasted in the sun cuz it was a gross and muggy but sunny nyc day.

second class. with this small dude with a mini fauxhawk, emo glasses and eyebrow piercing..and a BUSH of chest hair. *shudders* it was gross. he plays favorites i swear. greg and sophia hit it off i could see lol. made friends with cynthia who is uber cool.

rhia gave me a ride to 82nd, so i went to go get our name is mud pottery we painted. then went to annies where i hung with her and chris her friend for a while. the entire house was packed up in boxes and it made me so depressed. god im going to miss annie. chris walked me to the subway and we had a lovely little chat.

sunday. contacts and haircut, u know the story.

saturday. AMANDAS 18th BDAYS PARTY/PUNCHLINE SHOW. amanda invited us up to her bday party in harrison where punchline would be playing the bday party/mini concert, so aisha and i met up at grand central around 2/2:30, and after ticket mix-ups, got on a train to NORTH white plains.

after a bit, we reached the station and met up with tranette. this guy who accidently bumped into me while going up the stairs and a girl named melissa came up to us and asked if we were here for amandas bday party. we chatted with her and the other guy in the car. he asked us if we were from manhattan and we sed yes, so we chatted about manhattan and FOB shows.

we got to the 'venue' which turned out to be a country club in harrison (cough stepford), NY. we got out and sed hi to amanda who was a nervous wreck and running around trying to get reception on her phone. steve was driving and was lost and she was trying to get them there. i heard him on speakerfone and it was funny. tranette, aisha, gina (who came later), and i were lazy asses and sat on this really squishy and freakishly comfy couch in front of the entrance and just hung out when we werent running around trying to get reception. t-mobile sucks a big one.

a little while later after amanda opened her bday present (she loved the shirt) and we drew blue triangles on our faces cuz she told us to, i saw paul and steve at the door. as soon as paul saw us his eyes kinda popped and was like "HEY!! whats up?! what are you guys doing here..?" and did a high five hand clasp thing. i grasped hsi hand but didnt think to get up and give him a hug till i realized aisha eyes were drilling a crater into my skull lol. by then he had moved on aisha so i ended up getting up and giving steve a hug (cuz he was right in front of me) then turning around and hugging paul lol. lazy arses always finish last. let go of steve, saw pj and chris who gave us heys and hugs and introduced their gfs who were both really really nice.

from aishas lj: "then after a bit punchline arrived. we said hi to them. it was cool that they remembered us and were all like 'how r u guys? blue triangles.. good job.' lol when paul walked in he was like 'hey! what's up guys?' and gave jen his hand to help her up. and jen shook his hand and refused to move and looked very unexcited lol. and then i got up and gave her the look of death and hugged them all. lol she followed. and so did tranette.
they went inside but then steve came back out to talk to us for a bit. and jen told them how embarresing the dvd was and how she couldn't watch it. and steve didn't understand. and they had a conovo about jen having to elaborate on everything lol. and finally jens like 'u were such a geek' and he was like 'yeah, thanks for bringing that up.'"

they went in to get food and stuff and we hung out on the couch more. steve came out into the hall to say hi and chat with us. it was sad when he was like 'whats up?' and tranette and i both sed 'not much...' at the same time. well it sounded weird then. apparently, according to aisha, i always seem indifferent with them. not cool.

me: i saw the rewind dvd
steve: oh really?
me: i had trouble watching it. it was embarrasing to see.
steve: why? did it upset you?
me: no... i was watching the food dance...and u wen u were younger (geek)..
steve: thanks for bringing that up

aisha and i think that they all mightve been a bit hungover or something, cuz they were all kind of slow and acting gloomy. i dont know if it was awkwardness or the fact their gfs were there, but they werent acting 'normal'.

we sat outside cuz we all felt a bit out of place mingling with amandas friends, so we went outside and sat on the porch. steve, paul, pj, nightbeast, and pjs gf came out to get stuff from the van or something, and they all noticed aishas customized FOB shirt. they all commented on how cool it looked, but paul was more detailed in what he said, and kept talking like 'so i see this is the shoulder...and...you made it tighter, right? and this...' and he kept babbling and being really inarticulate and tranette and i almost couldnt take it. aisha didnt know what to say and he started apologizing like 'no, wait, i didnt mean that, but...'

more from aisha lj: "i was wearing the customised fob is for lovers shirt which suprisngly got quite a few comments. and they were all like 'why is it like that?' lol. and i explained. and they were like 'that's cool' and pj was like 'u shoudl do that to one of our shirts' and i was like 'but all your shirts fit me' lol. and then when they were wondering how i did it paul kept saying 'she just made the whole thing alot tighter' and i gave him a weird look and was like 'yeah she just slutted it up' and laughed. and he kept apologizing going that's not what i meant. and i kept saying it's fine i was kidding. and it was really bad and awkward. jen and tranette claim they were laughing really hard. but i did not hear laughing just the awkwardness of him explaining himself and me saying it was ok. it was pretty bad.

id just like to add how weird/cool it was seeing them outside of a concert setting.lol then after that we went inside and punchline played after a bit. they were really really good. nightbeast sang getting there is getting by. and some girl sang chris's shouting part on play. which was strange lol. it's nice that she had guts.

AMANDA ROCKS. she handeled everything really well and i could tell she was sorta worked up and anxious and on her last nerve cause this whole party was a pretty big deal and she organized it all herself. (and really well). she played tambourine with the nightbeast lol. she should've sang!

but we sang happy birthday, and they dedicated a song to her saying that she was their biggest fan and the person whod helped them out the most. and they sang the amanda song of their first album (lol.)A A A A A A A A M M M M M M M M A A A A A A A A N N N N N N N N N DDDDDDDD AAAAAAAAAAAAapres le performance we had to go immediately cause jen had to make it to her great aunts 80th bday. so we said out goodbyes, had a bonding talk with chris about the color purple and how he looked high cause his eyes were bloodshot. steve and pj saw jen and me so they called us over and we hugged them and told them we had to go. lol we didnt say bye to paul so i think he thinks i hate him. (which i dont!)"

anyway, we heard some guitar strumming from inside and thought it was best that we get our anti social arses back inside. punchline was setting up, and people started surrounding the stage area, and i tried to get as cose as i could, but between me and steves mike was 2 girls with huge clunky cameras. bleehh wanted to move them but its not like a crazy show so i couldnt be eeevil.

lol i got distracted by the guitar/bass strumming and my camera more than a few times, so sometimes id be singing along a bit then abruptly stop, make a weird face at my camera being stupid and look like i was just being a crackhead. it was the slightest bit awkward standing there not jumping around like an idiot, and steve looked at me once like 'wtf...?' after 4 or so shows, i finally got footage of that boy dancing. i got a whole bunch of footage of them dancing, nightbeast, amanda, etc. its so happymaking.

highlights:-chris: "hey can we sing happy birthday the chichi (?) way?" (does it) (all stare) steve: uh, well u just did it so...

-paul was forced to talk. steve whispered everything in his ear and he sed it like he was in a trance. it was great.
-the amp was making weird noises and steve kept imitating it

-steves dancing. none of cuz could take it. and when he randomly decided to cut thru the entire crowd.

we were supposed to leave at like 5 to catch a train back into the city, but we were like 'fuck that' and our ride wanted to see heart transplant. we hung out for a bit while punchline dispersed. then we found out we were getting a ride with amandas sister to the white plains station, so we had to go. before we left, we went past chris and sed bye and hugged and all that. aisha and chris randomly had a 5-second convo about his shirt. chris: 'i love this shirt!! ' and somehting about purple. sweat is gross. we saw steve and pj outside so i poked my head out to say bye to them. pj saw me and waved and got steves attention. i didnt know steve smoked. anyway, he gestured for me to come over, and goodbye hugs ensued. i looooove them.

overall, one of the best bday parties humanly possible. i had so much fun and im so happy amanda had us come and be part of it.
